CABIN SERVICES ASSISTANT
Job Purpose
To organise, hygienically clean and personalise the A380 Shower Spas with the objective of ensuring each First Class customer who uses this unique onboard feature is delighted by the experience.
The primary area of responsibility is Shower Spa cleanliness and personalisation, however, maintenance of First, Business and Economy Class lavatories, First and Business Class Lounges and general cabin areas is also a responsibility of this role, all to project a positive company image to our customers.
The role is to clean designated aircraft areas and does not overlap with or replace normal Cabin Crew service duties. The CSA will report to the Purser, or the Cabin Supervisor, should the Purser be on crew rest or otherwise unavailable. This role requires travelling.
Job Outline:
Performs inventory control function confirming products are loaded in the correct quantities. This to ensure onboard facilities can be correctly serviced, in-flight replenishments can be made and a wide range of products will be available for customers to select from in using the facilities.
- To check Shower Spa and lavatory cleanliness prior to passenger boarding placing appropriate amenity items to prepare for passenger use.
- To “Personalise the Shower Spa” for each customer at the allocated time from the Shower Spa Reservations System, with selected products displayed in the appropriate manner to delight customers who are using the facility.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: – A minimum of 2 years customer service experience with an international hotel chain/airline/world class service provider.
- Experience working in Hospitality Industry within housekeeping department would be an advantage.
- Knowledge/skills: – Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Minimum height of 160 cm and Arm reach of at least 210cm (on tip toes).

Synopsis
Plan, direct, and supervise the airport operation, overseeing team and service provider performance. Ensure financial, customer service, quality, safety and security objectives are delivered in accordance with all applicable safety, security, regulatory and company requirements and standards. Supervise all elements of operations while on duty.
Accountabilities
- Oversee all passenger and aircraft handling operations on a shift basis, ensuring adherence to all arrival/departure checklists, brand requirements, company policy/procedures and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for the effective management of safety and security outcomes on a shift basis through hazard identification, safety and compliance monitoring and reporting
- Ensure all flight editing and special guest requirements are met, including but not limited to assessment, planning and coordination of VIP/MAAS, PRM and special category guests
- Effectively liaise with Guest Control, Network Control and SOC to manage operational disruption recovery and reduce impact to guest service and operational integrity
- Deliver, maintain, and rehearse station emergency response plan, disruption planning, diversion/delay handling and business continuity plans
- Responsible for on time performance on a shift basis including coordination, mitigation, accurate reporting, and follow-up of delays
- Airport ancillary sales promotion, coordination, process compliance monitoring and adherence to associated targets
- Responsible for promotion, delivery, monitoring and reporting on customer service-related standards, including performance against associated KPIs
- Ensuring adherence to local authority requirements, including but not limited to arrival/departure documentation and reporting.
- Make day-to-day operational decisions to manage and mitigate operational safety and security-related risks on a shift basis at station level, through effective evaluation and decision-making based on conditions, hazards, and threats
- Identification and reporting of safety and security-related occurrences and hazards in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
- Placing 23 tensa poles and EY carpets, in addition to placing Check-in Counters, gates set-up including the branding and stationary. Remove all items at the Closure and place them in the dedicated area.
- Cargo stationary clearing at Customs and Clearing Co-mail bags at Arrivals.
Education & Experience
- Degree level education desirable (A-level or baccalaureate equivalent) or relevant industry experience, with a demonstrable knowledge of frontline service delivery and communication skills. Previous exposure to highly pressured and multicultural environment in a supervisory role within a shift environment required
- Overall 5-7 years’ experience within service, hospitality, aviation which includes Airport Operations experience, with a relevant knowledge of aviation, travel industry and/or airport policies.
- Role requires mature personality with outstanding communication skills, supervisory skills and passion to deliver service.
- Role must balance guest-centric focus and corporate interest while maintaining highest safety and security standards and coordinating teams and service providers on shift

Operational accountabilities include:

- Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables. Be available for Guests at all times as a point of contact.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the airport facilities, services and respond to guest queries accordingly.
- Maintain effective communication with all related departments to ensure a smooth service delivery.
- Interact with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
- Offer consistently professional, friendly, warm and engaging service.
- Adhere to highest grooming and appearance standards at all times.
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures Accept and fill in take away orders, if applicable.
